U.S. 1 Scuba's 'Open Water' Scuba Class

The first step in your quest for underwater adventure is to become an Open Water Diver. U.S.1 Scuba's Open Water Diver program provides all of the materials a student needs to become a comfortable, knowledgeable and safer diver. Better yet, the U.S.1 Scuba system provides the flexibility that students need to fit their busy schedules. The Open Water Diver program uses full-motion video to enhance the training process. U.S.1 Scuba has packaged this video with the manual and workbook for home-study use so students can complete their classroom work in the comfort of their home- at their own pace.
Under the guidance of a professional U.S.1 Scuba Instructor, you'll develop the knowledge and skills necessary to enjoy a lifetime of underwater exploration.
U.S. 1 Scuba's 'Specialty Diver' Class
Specialty activities introduce certified divers to a whole new world of diving opportunities. Learning is easy.
The U.S.1 Scuba's Specialty Program is the next step in diver education. U.S.1 Scuba has created a library of Specialty Courses that you can choose from, or combine to earn your Specialty Diver ratings. Each Specialty Course has its own video plus a manual that is packed full of knowledge. This unique system is what gives the U.S.1 Scuba Specialty Diver Program such complete flexibility. Take just one or take them all. You select the courses that meet your own particular diving interests!
Courses include night, wreck, deep, navigation, search & recovery, and underwater photography. To be a Specialty Diver, you will need to complete: 2 Specialty Courses and 12 total logged dives.
U.S. 1 Scuba's 'Advanced Open Water' Class
U.S.1 Scuba's Advanced Open Water Program is a continuation of the Specialty Program. U.S.1 Scuba has created a library of Specialty Courses that you can choose from, or combine to earn your Advanced Open Water Diver ratings. Each Course has its own video plus a manual that is packed full of knowledge.
Courses include night, wreck, deep, navigation, search & recovery, and underwater photography. To be an Advanced Open Water Diver you will need: 4 Specialty Courses and 24 total logged dives.
U.S. 1 Scuba's 'Stress and Rescue' Class
At U.S.1 Scuba, diving safety is our #1 concern. With the Diver Stress and Rescue program, any certified diver can now become a more comfortable diver- the U.S.1 Scuba way. Learn how to detect and prevent stress in yourself and your diving companions, while developing the rescue skills needed to help another diver. Learn firsthand how to administer immediate care to a victim of a diving accident. U.S.1 Scuba combines a 2-part video with a manual and other support components to create one of the most comprehensive Diver Stress and Rescue courses available.
U.S. 1 Scuba's 'Dive Control Specialists' Class
U.S.1 Scuba Dive Control Specialist is our initial dive leadership level, and is considered by many as the 'fun' leadership rating. It's fun and satisfying because you can do more than any other entry-level dive leader. You can do more because you receive both dive master and assistant instructor training in the U.S.1 Scuba Dive Control Specialist course. With other agencies, these are separate courses. You'll study advanced physics, physiology and decompression theory. You'll practice advanced rescue techniques, fine-tune your diving skills, and learn the basics of teaching.
A Dive Con can also assist an Instructor and teach Snorkeling and Scuba Skills Updates.
